Great Leadership Feels Like Great Hospitality.

Most organizations talk about culture without designing it. They hold events nobody remembers and run workshops nobody applies. The gap between the culture they describe and the one people actually experience is where most leadership work quietly dies.

I’ve spent 20 years making sure millions of people ended their day with a story worth telling at Disney, Holland America Line, and Carowinds. That's not a metaphor. That's the work. And I bring every lesson from it into every room I enter.

Let’s Build Something Worth Remembering

Story-driven talks that change how a room thinks about leadership.

90-minute experiences designed so your people actually connect.

The thinking partner for leaders who are building something new.

Sessions that give your team something they'll actually use.

Who’s This For?

Chambers of Commerce

You work hard to give your members value. Give them an experience they're still talking about at next month's meeting.

HR & People Teams

You know culture isn't built from a slide deck. Let's design something your people actually feel.

Little Birdie works best with the people who are tired of events nobody remembers and trainings nobody applies. If you're responsible for how your people feel, whether about their work, their team, or their organization - this is for you.

Nonprofit Organizations

Your people do meaningful work every day. They deserve a gathering that honors that.

If you want your people to feel something when they leave the room, let's talk!

Corporate Leadership Teams

Your offsite should change something. Not just check a box.

Professional Associations

Your members showed up. Give them a reason to come back.

About

Every now and then, a little birdie has something big to say.

After two decades designing experiences for Disney, Holland America Line, and Carowinds - leading big teams, producing over-the-top events, and making sure every single Guest ended their day with a story worth telling, I decided it was time to build something of my own.

Not because I was done with the work. Because the work had taught me something I couldn't stop thinking about.

The best leaders I ever worked alongside didn't just manage people. They hosted them. They designed environments where people felt seen, where creativity had permission to breathe, and where the smallest, most intentional choices were the ones everyone remembered. They led the way great hosts serve: with warmth, with intention, and with an almost unreasonable commitment to the experience of the people in the room.

That's the idea at the heart of Little Birdie Consulting. Great leadership feels like great hospitality. It's built in the margins. And the people doing it best are almost always more creative than they think.

So I took my inspiration from the sassiest little coach I know - my dog and Chief Cuteness Officer, Birdie. She's endlessly curious, just bold enough to keep everyone on their toes, and absolutely certain that the smallest voices carry the biggest ideas. And she’s right.

Whether it's through Crafted Gatherings, Signature Keynotes, Curated Workshops, or Creative Strategy, I'm here to help leaders and organizations close the gap between the culture they describe and the one people actually experience.

Because the world doesn't need more leadership theories.

It needs leaders who make people feel something.

It needs a little Birdie.

Reviews Worth Barking About

"Ryan and I come from the same world. We both know that great experiences don't happen by accident. What he's built with Little Birdie is intentional, human, and deeply felt. As someone who helps organizations architect how they're seen, I can tell you: Ryan Allen is someone worth seeing. He doesn't just talk about leadership. He demonstrates it every time he's in the room."

“Over the course of my career, I’ve come to believe that what truly sets an organization apart is its ability to create a culture where people genuinely feel they belong; where the mission isn’t just something we say, but something people experience every day.

That’s what stands out about Ryan Allen.

He understands that culture isn’t built from a stage or a slide deck, it’s built in the small, intentional moments that shape how people show up for one another. He doesn’t just talk about culture… he lives it and helps others build it from the inside out.”

- Ed Paat

Chief Development Officer, YMCA of Greater Charlotte

"In my work, I've seen firsthand what a well-designed moment can do for a family in crisis. Ryan understands that at a cellular level. He doesn't just talk about creating culture; he shows you how the smallest, most intentional choices are what people actually remember. That's not a leadership theory. That's a philosophy our entire organization tries to live by."
